Announcer

KUOW–FM seeks a full–time announcer. This position will provide vacation and sick relief for existing announcing shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Managing Editor

KUOW seeks a Managing Editor to join its award–winning news team. This position oversees all local content production at KUOW–FM Seattle and reports to the Program Director. Duties include the following:

  • Manages news content production and ensures that such content is consistent with the mission, goals, and editorial policies of the station;
  • Implements KUOW editorial vision, policies and priorities;
  • Supervises professional staff of reporters, producers, and hosts; assigns and coordinates news coverage;
  • Ensures all content produced by KUOW staff, commissioned content or content produced in collaboration with any other stations or organizations meets professional editorial, artistic, and technical standards;
  • Determines, oversees and coordinates online and social media strategy regarding local content and serves as liaison to online producers.

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience, a minimum of five years radio programming experience or equivalent in print journalism, and at least three years of newsroom management experience in print or radio are required. Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities are essential. Director Of Finance And Administration

KUOW 94.9 FM - Seattle's NPR News and Information station is looking for an experienced professional to oversee its finance and administration department. Position directs financial, personnel and general administrative activities. Responsible for all financial management systems, including banking, budget and general accounting functions and reports. Provides support and coordination for annual audit and financial reports. Supervises personnel and general administrative support systems and activities. Bachelors degree and five years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with background in nonprofit admin and finance management desired.
