About Carolyn Adolph:
Carolyn Adolph chose public radio after a career in newspapers in Toronto and Montreal. She won Canada's highest journalism honor, the National Newspaper Award, at age 29. Working in print made her think of how much better it would be to work with sound, so in 2001 she joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Working at CBC Ottawa turned out to be even better than she imagined. She covered national and local politics and the conflict between English and French in Canada's public service. Her best documentary showed how a mentally ill teenager fell through the cracks in Ontario's child protection system.
Carolyn continues her pursuit of sublime radio journalism here at KUOW. She's working on KUOW's Public Insight Network, finding thousands of people willing to act as a resource for journalists by sharing experience, knowledge and expertise. Check out kuow.org/publicinsight.
