Bill Radke talks with TV producer Doug Tolmie about his friend and colleague Bill Strothman. Strothman and pilot Gary Pfitzner were killed in Tuesday's helicopter crash at Seattle Center.

"Everybody who met [Bill], even in a brief situation, were touched by his professionalism and his kindness," he said. "This was one heck of a gentle man."

Tolmie, who worked with Strothman at KOMO News, said he and the veteran photojournalist shared a passion for storytelling.

"There was very few people better at capturing true, authentic moments with his camera," he said. "I'm a storyteller. I love the craft of telling stories as much as Bill did. We would talk all the time about capturing moments. He had the rare ability behind the camera to capture those things and actually make them a part of the story."
