Since the Bush administration took office, there has been no shortage of political satire. At least, not in the imagination of Tom Tomorrow. Tom Tomorrow is the creator of the award-winning weekly cartoon of social and political satire, This Modern World. He is a person Michael Moore thanks for "helping America laugh while the world laughed at us". His new book Hell in a Handbasket includes over 140 cartoons "chronicling the worst years of our lives". Tom Tomorrow is the creator of the nationally syndicated cartoon strip This Modern World. His work appears weekly in alternative papers across the country and on salon.com. His cartoons have also appeared in The New York Times, U.S. News and World Report, The New Yorker, The American Prospect, The Nation, Spin, and Esquire, among others. He is the two-time recipient of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for Cartooning. His newest book is Hell in a Handbasket; Dispatches from the Country Formerly Known as America.
