In the United States, 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. Why does this happen? Is love no longer enough? How do you get through a divorce and stay fairly stress free? What is the process like? Is it really complicated? What are the emotional and psychological effects of divorce? How do you get over it? How can we make sure the children are not adversely affected?

Guests:
Gene Oliver a family law attorney at the Law Offices of Holman, Cahill, Garrett, Ives and Oliver. Their focus is in children's care support, custody and parenting.
Christine Mayoue a family law attorney at the Law Offices of Michael Bugni. Their focus is issues surrounding parenting plans, child support modifications and third custody issues
Lynn Fainsilber Katz, Ph.D. research associate professor of psychology at the University of Washington. Her studies include the effects of marital discord on children, antisocial children, social psychophysiology and family interaction. She also works as a child evaluator for family law laywers during the divorce process; assisting with the organization of the parenting plan and where the children will live.
