Microsoft and the EU / Ohloh.net / The Professional Dater

John Moe
07/18/2006

A major corporation like Microsoft always has lawyers working on something and often is involved in some kind of international litigation. But the announcement that the Redmond software giant is being fined $357 million dollars by European regulators was enough to raise some eyebrows. While Microsoft prepares to appeal the ruling, we find out what it's about and what it might mean. Plus, some Microsoft executives have moved away from the company at least philosophically speaking. We meet one of the founders of Ohloh.net, a new directory of open source solutions to software needs. And, a chat with the founder of a dating service that provides counseling, coaching, matchmaking, and even classwork in how to flirt. We talk with her and take you to a Flirting 101 workshop.

Guests:
Todd Bishop reporter, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Scott Collison founder, Ohloh.net
Alma Avery Rubenstein founder, The Professional Dater
