Is Hooking Up The New Dating?

It was called free love in the 19th century. In the 1960's it was the sexual revolution. In the 80's it was casual sex. Today it's called hooking up – sex without strings. Is hooking up the new dating? I'm Ross Reynolds. It's The Conversation. For some, going on a date is too much commitment. Hooking up is a less stressful relationship. Does it work that way for you? There's some anecdotal information that hook up culture can be bad for women. Do you find that to be true? Is hooking up pointless hedonism? Or is it hedonism with a point?

Also today, County Executive John Ladenburg doesn't like the big roads funding vote this fall. He wants to take Pierce County out. He'll tell us why.
