Great learning and teaching take place in the most unexpected places. Amit Peled is an Israeli born concert cellist and one of America's youngest professors of music. His studies in an Israeli Kibbutz and experience as an Israeli Army musician were among of his most treasured and formative musical experiences. In an archive interview from January 23rd, 2007, Amit Peled explains how playing Beethoven in army barracks helped launch his international concert career.
