Dave Beck
07/19/2007

Your dream job could be a nightmare. Today, we burn out our thumbs on the gritty reality of video game testing. We also learn about a major painter's most ambitious work to date, and we hear a musical tribute to a little village in the big city – the Pike Place Market.

At 2:07 p.m. – Pike Place Musical
Pike Place Market is is a village in a city. From the honey hucksters to the busking banjoists, the people of the market run on love, hard work, and a good dose of kookiness. Playwright Donna Rae Davidson drew on 15 years of working in the market for her new musical The North Arcade. Today, Donna Rae tells us how her extended Market family inspired her to share their stories, and we'll hear a musical number celebrating the market's handmade crafts.
