People Who Shape the Region: A Conversation with Norm Rice

10/18/2007 at 9:00 a.m.

Over the next few months, we will be talking with folks who have been shaping our region. Today, a conversation with former Mayor Norm Rice. Norm Rice spent two terms as mayor of Seattle, following a stint on the Seattle City Council. He went on to serve as chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank in Seattle and now lectures at the University of Washington. Norm Rice oversaw much of the planning and political changes that are now reshaping the region. How does he view his legacy and how does he view the future?

And while we chat, think about this as well: who else needs to be featured on Weekday? Write to weekday@kuow.org and let us know.

Guests:
Norm Rice, Seattle Mayor from 1990–1997, currently Distinguished Visiting Lecturer at the Evans School, University of Washington.
