Benazir Bhutto Assassination

12/27/2007 at 12:00 p.m.

Benazir Bhutto's father and two brothers died violently. Today she joined them. At a political rally in Pakistan an assassin shot the former Prime Minister twice before blowing up himself and 20 other people. What will her death mean for Pakistan? What will it mean for the central Asia? What will it mean for the world? Parliamentary elections are scheduled for next month. Will Pervez Musharraf postpone them? The Bush administration has supported Pakistan with billions in foreign aid. President Bush has called Musharraf a staunch ally in the war on terror. How will the assassination affect U.S. – Pakistan relations? Are you Pakistani? What do you think? What are you hearing from home today about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto?
