The tides of the Washington's waters tell a tale of survival. From the depths of Neah Bay to the shores of Puget Sound, our local marine life thrives amid constantly changing waters. We're here at the Seattle Aquarium to meet with Interpretive Coordinator Andrea Dossantos. Today, Andrea guides us through three stages of local tides to explore the world of our underwater neighbors.

Jennifer Worick is the self-described "white sheep" of her family. It wasn't until to she moved out to Seattle – thousands of miles from her Michigan homeland – that she finally came to terms with her blue collar upbringing. She celebrates the gifts of the simple life in her new book, The Prairie Girl's Guide to Life. Her father helped her write the chapter on milking cows.

Classical music critic Gavin Borchert shares two new discs that combine the string quartet with Chinese influences: Terry Riley's The Cusp of Magic and Ying Quartet's Dim Sum.
At 2:50 p.m. – Cookus Interruptus
Americans ate out about five times a week in 2006. And they’re more interested in convenience than nutrition. But Cynthia Lair believes it's possible to make quick and delicious food that's also healthy, despite life's interruptions – for example, when your car is rolling down the street. Cynthia hosts the online cooking show Cookus Interruptus. The interruption with the car was featured in an episode on cooking collard greens. Cynthia hasn't always been interested in cooking though. It was her mother that got her thinking about food.
