At 2:20 p.m. – Million Dollar Chicken Thighs
Almonds, currants, and chicken thighs cooked in bottled salsa is a quick dinner dish worth a million dollars. That's the grand prize that Seattle writer Ellie Matthews won in the Pillsbury Bake Off 10 years ago. Ellie writes about winning the grandma of all cooking contests in the new book, The Ungarnished Truth. In an archive from March 4, 2008, Ellie shares how she came up with the recipe at the last minute based on what she had rattling around in her freezer.

At 2:40 p.m. – Gavin Borchert Classical Music Review
Two new period–instrument recordings, one local. Mozart's 17 Church Sonatas for organ and strings, 14 of which appear on this disc, were written to be played as instrumental interludes during the Mass. All brief, almost all in a quick tempo, they resemble the overtures and symphonic first movements he composed so prolifically. The eight–member Seattle Trumpet Consort plays music written for valveless trumpets, even commissioning new works. This disc concentrates on repertory from the late 18th century forward, including music by Wagner, Dvorak, Britten, and two divertimentos attributed to Mozart.
At 2:50 p.m. – Cookus Interruptus
Americans ate out about five times a week in 2006. And they're more interested in convenience than nutrition. But Cynthia Lair believes it's possible to make quick and delicious food that's also healthy, despite life's interruptions — for example, when your car is rolling down the street. Cynthia hosts the online cooking show 'Cookus Interruptus'. The interruption with the car was featured in an episode on cooking collard greens. Cynthia hasn't always been interested in cooking though. It was her mother that got her thinking about food.
