Helsing Junction Farm was among many in Lewis and Thurston counties that were severely flooded during last year's storm. Many livestock and farm equipment were lost. Homes were caked in mud. Farmers were overwhelmed with cleanup and rebuilding. Slowly, the farms are recovering. One farmer found signs of hope and gained new appreciation from all the upheaval.© Copyright 2008, KUOW
