Today on The Conversation we'll look at two races on the November 4th ballot: Sam Reed vs. Jason Osgood for Secretary of State, and two Democrats – Reuven Carlyle vs. John Burbank in Seattle's 36th legislative district.
Then we'll talk about campaign rhetoric and the press with our media critic, University of Washington communications professor John Gastil, and George Washington University professor Henry Farrell.

John Gastil is a communications professor at the University of Washington.
