Mick Dodge, Barefoot Sensei

There are thousands of nerve endings in your feet. But as you walk and run through life, you're often shielded by socks, shoes, and indoor carpeting. Mick Dodge has been going barefoot — all the time, everywhere he goes — for almost 25 years. He believes that our feet connect us to nature. It's a lesson he first learned as a kid growing up by the Hoh River on the Olympic Peninsula. Now, he's now a fitness consultant with the Seattle organization "Exuberant Animal." And, he walks all over the Puget Sound region sharing his barefoot wisdom. KUOW's Jeremy Richards met Mick at Seattle's Green Lake to try going barefoot in the park.
