Kevin Kling and Simone Perrin's performance, "Breakin' Hearts & Takin' Names," opens tonight (April 9) at the Seattle Repertory Theater. It plays April 9 – May 10.

Kevin Kling is a Minnesota born and bred playwright and storyteller who performs around the world. His autobiographical stories talk about hopping freight trains, performing banned plays in Czechoslovakia and getting hit by lightning. He has written numerous plays, including "21A" and "Lloyd's Prayer," and has received grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the McKnight Foundation and the Busch Foundation, among others. His new book is "The Dog Says How." He's performing his show, "Breakin' Hearts & Takin' Names," with singer/accordionist Simone Perrin at the Seattle Repertory, April 9 – May 10.
Simone Perrin is an accordionist. She's also an artist, composer and singer. She has appeared on "A Prairie Home Companion" and performs with Kevin Kling in many of his plays. She premiered two shows at the 2006 Minnesota Fringe Festival — her one–woman show, "Tall Tale of a Broken Heart," and "In Hopes of Claudia" with Kevin Kling.
