Weekday

China and America: Journalist James Fallows

Steve Scher
08/07/2009 at 9:00 a.m.

China is poised to dominate the world's economy. China is also an environmentally polluted, ethnically challenged country with a politically corrupt government on the verge of collapse. Journalist James Fallows says that China is a place with "many possible futures that will in fact be shaped by real choices by real human beings." He has been studying the area for years and has recently returned from Beijing. James Fallows is our guest today on "Weekday."

Plus, Cliff Mass joins us with a weekend weather forecast.

Guest(s)

James Fallows is National Correspondent for The Atlantic magazine. His book is "Postcards from Tomorrow Square: Reports from China."
