A Conversation with Author Sherman Alexie

Sherman Alexie is an award–winning author, poet and filmmaker. His stories detail the everyday lives of ordinary modern Indians. His most recent book, "War Dances," is a collection of short stories and poems that depict the everyday errors, successes, regrets and despairs of "ordinary men on the brink of exceptional change." He joins us in the studio.

Sherman Alexie is an author, poet and filmmaker. His previous works include "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven" and "The Business of Fancydancing." He is the winner of the National Book Award for Young People's Literature. His newest book is called "War Dances."
