Theater on Your Own Front Porch
11/02/2009 at 10:00 a.m.
What can you learn when you put yourself in someone else's shoes? What about when you act their part? Intiman Theatre has been sponsoring a series of community readings of its new play "Abe Lincoln in Illinois." They call it Front Porch Theater. Friends, neighbors and community members gather in coffee shops and libraries to read and discuss the play. How does it change a play to read it yourself? What does this play have to teach us about Abe Lincoln? And what can his story tell us about today? Have you been to any of the Front Porch readings? Join our discussion at 1.800.289.5869.Related Event
The Front Porch series has been extended to November 19. The remaining dates are: November 5 at 6:00 p.m. at History House (790 N 34th St), November 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Seattle Public Library, Northgate Branch (10548 5th Ave NE) and November 20 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral (1245 10th Ave E.).
