Young adults often make roads trips with their parents to check out college towns. But you don't have to be a parent of a college bound child to enjoy a college town getaway. These communities offer scenery, history, cultural and recreational opportunities unique to our region. Seattle travel writer Crai Bower grew up around small college campuses on the East Coast. And he's come to appreciate how Pacific Northwest college towns make for memorable and affordable vacation destinations. KUOW's Dave Beck spoke with Crai Bower.
