Women in Combat
04/03/2003 at 12:00 p.m.
In the Iraq war there are more U.S. women in the armed forces, in more jobs, than in any previous conflict. They're flying combat aircraft. Some have been captured. But there are still some combat positions that women are not allowed to take? Is that right? Does the sight of women prisoners of war influence our willingness to put them in full combat roles? We ask these questions, look at the history of women in the military and we'd like to hear from women who have been or are serving in the armed forces.
