Several hundred thousand Atlantic salmon make their home in Secret Harbor, thousands of miles from their native waters, but just three miles by boat from Anacortes. These are farmed fish raised locally to meet the growing demand for affordable salmon in the Northwest. Is this healthy for the general oceanic population? Are escaping fish posing a threat to indigenous species? Or is this a viable to solution to the demand for salmon?
