From Marx Brothers movies to religious art work, you just never know where the harp is going to show up. Harpist John Carrington has played on cruise ships, in movie soundtracks (his harp is heard in Jim Carrey's most recent film) and in major symphony orchestras. He's currently principal harpist of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. He joins Dave Beck in the performance studio for music for solo harp by Carlos Salzedo, Lynne Palmer and Benjamin Britten.

Translator Red Pine reads from Poems of the Masters: China's Classic Anthology of T'ang and Sung Dynasty Verse, published by Copper Canyon Press, and available for the first time in English. Bill Porter, who assumes his Chinese name Red Pine for his translation work, is one of the world's foremost translators of Chinese literary and religious texts. Poems of the Masters is his tenth book; previous publications include The Diamond Sutra: The Perfection of Wisdom, and Road to Heaven: Encounters with Chinese Hermits.
