David R. Montgomery

10/20/2004 at 12:00 a.m.

The intrepid salmon has endured for millions of years, but in the last thousand years it has been pushed to near extinction in Britain, the American Northeast, and now the Northwest. Professor David Montgomery discusses findings and provocative prescriptions to reverse the fate of salmon, drawing from his new book, King of Fish: The Thousand-Year Run of Salmon.

Originally recorded Friday, October 8 at Town Hall, Seattle. Presented in association with University Book Store and Pacific Science Center.
