Is there a place for 'mom and pop' stores in this cold, cruel economy? Or is the era of the small independent business over? How can a mom and pop store compete successfully against a big chain store with a wider selection and lower prices? Do you have fond memories of a mom and pop store that no long exists? We’ll talk to two documentary film producers who are at the end of a nationwide trip to find the pressure points where independent America clashes with corporate chain America. And we’d like to hear your stories of mom and pop stores past, present and future.Also today, Department of Corrections officials must hand over the names of health personnel who have been disciplined. Today the state Supreme Court ruled that a prisoner who edits the Prison Legal News who has been denied the names is entitled to the information.
