Equity & Race Relations at Seattle Public Schools

Schools are a reflection of our communities. They host a wide range of abilities and interests as well as ethnic, cultural, and familial diversity. Dr. Caprice Hollins was brought into the Seattle Public School system to work on reducing institutionalized racism. What does that mean? What role do institutions like schools have in changing the way people think about race and equity? Seattle is an incredibly diverse community; are the institutional systems providing for everyone equally?
