The Senate hearings for John G. Roberts Jr. closed yesterday. It seems certain he will be approved when the committee votes next Thursday. What should we expect with a Chief Justice Roberts on the court? And who will President Bush nominate to replace Sandra Day O'Connor? What are your impressions of the proceedings?
