The Swing Years And Beyond features popular music of the 1920s through the 1950s, from familiar favorites to lesser-known gems. A mix of Jazz, swing, ballads, blues, showtunes and be-bop showcases the relationships between these various musical styles. The program highlights the personalities, history and popular culture of the time through music, and explores the enduring nature of this uniquely American art form. Meet the host Amanda Wilde.
Swing Ladies Swing Series
This continuing series features a rare set of contemporary interviews with female singing stars of the 1940s and 1950s. Through music, they provide a unique window on popular culture of that era, and bring that understanding into the present.

Frankie Manning: Lindy Hop Pioneer
The 92-year-old Manning visited Seattle to teach and perform in the Century Ballroom's Masters series. He spoke with Amanda Wilde in the KUOW studios in August, 2006.
