This is TELL ME MORE from NPR News. I'm Michel Martin. Later in the program comedian DL Hughley stops by and gives us his - how shall we say it - unique take on politics. That's coming up later. But before we get to the laughs we're going to take a serious look at energy prices. The U.S. Energy Information Administration predicts that the average price at the pump for this year will be $3.65.

I'm Michel Martin, and this is TELL ME MORE, from NPR News. You probably know him from his hit sitcom "The Hughleys," which followed a black family adjusting to life in a white suburb, or his talk show on CNN or his many guest spots on other popular talk shows. Or you might know him from the mega-hit documentary "The Original Kings of Comedy," where he was featured along with Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac and Cedric the Entertainer. Here's a clip from that.

Tough economic times have changed what's for dinner, and not just on the family table. Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema says that even the finest restaurants serving up comfort foods. He speaks with host Michel Martin about this and other trends in fall dining.

Weddings are supposed to be filled with joy and excitement, but Artie Goldstein had mixed emotions when his daughter, Jill, got engaged to another woman. His trip to the wedding became a video journey that father and daughter wanted to share with the world. Host Michel Martin finds out how this personal moment became an internet sensation.

With the holiday season approaching, shoppers can expect a few new hot gadgets on store shelves. Tuesday, Apple debuted its much anticipated iPad mini, and Microsoft is expected to debut a new tablet and an upgrade to Windows later this week. Host Michel Martin speaks with technology commentator Mario Armstrong.

Millions of voters across the country could cast their ballots before Election Day. Some experts say early voting could have a disproportionate impact on certain voting blocs. Host Michel Martin discusses the issue with Professor Paul Gronke, founder of the Early Voting Information Center, and Republican strategist Lenny McAllister.

This is TELL ME MORE from NPR News. I'm Michel Martin. Coming up, when you were in school, did you ever wonder how your teachers were spending their weekends? Well, these days some of them might be hanging out on Twitter talking about you. Or at least how to be a better teacher and other issues in education. It's called Sat Chat and we'll tell you more about it and we'll speak with the man behind it in just a few minutes.

Russell Means was once called the "biggest, baddest, meanest, angriest, most famous American Indian activist of the late 20th century." He led a 71-day armed standoff against federal agents at Wounded Knee in 1973. Later, he used film as a vehicle for his advocacy. Host Michel Martin offers a remembrance.

Every Saturday morning, nearly 200 educators join the online conversation #satchat. They say Twitter lets them instantly discuss issues like bullying, teacher recruitment and social media with colleagues outside their districts. Host Michel Martin talks with #satchat co-founder and New Jersey public school administrator Scott Rocco.

At some schools, unruly children are physically restrained or isolated in so-called seclusion rooms. Critics like investigative journalist Bill Lichtenstein say the methods are often abusive and must stop. He wrote about his own daughter's experience in an opinion piece for The New York Times. He talks with host Michel Martin.
