Between Worlds / Behind Bars Production Team
Sarah Stuteville
Producer, Segment 1 and Assistant Producer, Segments 3–4
Sarah is Education Director and Lead Journalist at The Common Language Project, a new media nonprofit based at the University of Washington. Sarah's print reporting has been published in the Seattle Times, Seattle Post–Intelligencer, San Francisco Chronicle and others, and has been recognized with several awards. This story is her first – but not last – foray into radio production. She now thinks of the whole world in terms of possible radio stories.
Alex Stonehill
Producer, Segment 2 and Photographer
Alex is Program Director and Lead Visual Journalist at the Common Language Project, a new media nonprofit based at the University of Washington. He has produced video for PBS and photography for the Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, Seattle Post–Intelligencer and others. Alex assistant produced the 2007 series "Life on the Duwamish," but this is his first time producing his own piece — despite being told all his life that he's too tall for radio.
Jessica Partnow
Producer, Segments 3–4 and Assistant Producer, Segments 1–2
Jessica is Executive Director and Lead Audio Producer at The Common Language Project, a new media nonprofit based at the University of Washington. She produced the 2007 series "Life on the Duwamish" for KUOW, thanks to support from the Program Venture Fund. She fell into radio by accident a couple of years ago and now can't imagine doing anything else.
