Beyonce is a feminist - she made that clear by dancing in front of a giant set of letters spelling out the word.

Or did she?

Not clear enough for bell hooks, or Megyn Kelly, or a host of others who have questioned her feminist street cred over the years.

Last February, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted out a photo of a coffee mug with a farting unicorn on it. He declared it his "favorite mug ever."

That was good for the ceramic artist who designed the mug, Denver-based Tom Edwards. The artist says he sold about 50 farting unicorn mugs because of that tweet.

Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo’s career as a musician began at six years old, singing into the dark.

Poor, neglected, carrying around a broom as substitute for the guitar he didn't have.  These are images of Jimi Hendrix growing up in Seattle.

And Hendrix biographer Charles R. Cross says that even when Hendrix returned to the city as a superstar to play a concert 50 years ago, on Feb. 12, 1968, he was heckled by students at his old high school. Cross says Hendrix always had a complicated relationship with Seattle, but the city should use this anniversary to do more to honor him.
