Boeing Certification Flight Complete

Boeing's 787 certification flight has landed.

The flight was Boeing's final certification test for the battery system it redesigned following smoke and fire incidents in January. Boeing Co. said the test would show the Federal Aviation Administration that the new system performs as intended "during normal and non-normal flight conditions."

Northwest Asparagus Comes A Tad Early

PASCO, Wash. – Northwest farmers are beginning to harvest the first asparagus of the year this week in southeast Washington. That’s a tad earlier than usual. And after last year's farm-labor shortage, growers across the region are keeping an eye on how many asparagus workers show up for the harvest.

At the Middleton farm stand near Pasco, Washington asparagus – both purple and green – is selling by the pound to passersby. Bins of fresh asparagus are brought here right off the fields. Workers come and go. At the helm is Laura Middleton.

Militia Group Allegedly Formed By Washington State Soldier

A solider from Washington state has been charged with murder in the death of his pregnant wife.  Prosecutors also say Pvt. Isaac Aguigui of Cashmere, Wash., is the ringleader of an anti-government militia group that plotted to overthrow the government and poison apple crops in Washington state.
