Boeing's Battery Fix: Containment

The lithium-ion battery that started a fire on a 787 at Boston Logan Airport. An NTSB report said the fire injured one firefighter and was hot enough to melt steel.

  The National Transportation Safety Board says it still does not know the root cause of the battery fire that triggered the grounding of the Boeing Co. 787 fleet.

Inslee: Hanford Tank Waste Removal Will Take Years

RICHLAND, Wash. – It may take two to four years to even begin clearing radioactive waste from leaking tanks at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. That’s according to Washington Governor Jay Inslee. He toured the southeast Washington nuclear site Wednesday.
