Joe Dacca

Joe Dacca was named vice president for the UW Office of External Affairs in July 2025. In this role, he leads units responsible for government and community relations at the federal, state, regional, and tribal levels. Joe previously served as director of State Relations at the UW for nine years. Prior to his work at the UW, he worked on staff for former U.S. Representatives Derek Kilmer and Norm Dicks as well as a legislative assistant in the Washington State Senate. A proud UW alumnus, Joe graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
