Roy Lambert

Board Member
About

Roy and his family recently moved from Dallas, Texas, to the Pacific Northwest and proudly call Seattle home. After serving his community outside New Orleans, Louisiana, for fifteen years in law enforcement, Roy retired and transitioned to a career as an attorney. Today, Roy practices insurance law as a senior attorney, handling commercial property disputes, subrogation matters, and complex litigation in Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Louisiana. Before that, he served as an Attorney Advisor with the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Administrative Law Judges, working on cases involving worker protections, whistleblower complaints, labor law disputes, immigration labor certification, and more.

Outside of work, Roy spends his time with his family, supporting his local community, jogging, kayaking, gardening, hiking, backpacking, foraging for mushrooms, fishing, traveling, and cooking.

Roy joined KUOW's board because he values public media and believes in supporting quality journalism that serves the community. He graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice.
