Thanking Participants in your facebook fundraiser

Thank you for setting up a Facebook Fundraiser on behalf of KUOW! Below are some tips for making sure your friends, family and community members who contributed to your fundraiser receive as many thanks as possible.  

After you set up your fundraiser: 

  • Include links within the fundraiser to KUOW’s annual report, so contributors can get an idea of how their donations will be used by KUOW 
  • Share links to your favorite stories to highlight why KUOW’s work is important to you 
  • Tag @KUOW Public Radio so we get a notification that your fundraiser has been set up 
  • KUOW staff will do our best to interact, ask questions and provide information on your fundraising page, including links to sign up for newsletters, recent initiatives or special coverage and more.  
  • Share your fundraising page often – that's the best way to remind everyone that you have a goal you need to hit within a certain timeframe!  

After your fundraiser concludes: 

  • Thank participants individually within your fundraising page 
  • Encourage contributors to sign up for KUOW’s weekly “best of” email newsletter, available here: https://kuow.org/connect 
  • Let them know that if they chose not to share their information with KUOW, but would like to receive a thank-you card, to contact you with their information 
  • Reach out to membership@kuow.org if you’d like to receive thank-you cards to send to your contributors

Thank you so much for contributing to my recent Facebook fundraiser on behalf of KUOW Public Radio. I believe in public radio as a vital necessity for broadening conversations and deepening understanding, and your gift will go a long way in supporting independent, nonprofit journalism.
