KUOW statement on cancellation of 'live from here'

Today, American Public Media announced that they are ceasing production of Live From Here, citing revenue challenges stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.

KUOW has carried the variety show and its predecessor A Prairie Home Companion since it first aired in 1974. We're saddened by the news and know our local Puget Sound community will greatly miss it.

KUOW will continue airing Live From Here reruns as we evaluate options for our weekend programming going forward. We send our heartfelt thanks to the entire Live From Here team for the many years of music and laughter.
