Brightline West project struggles to get funding

Brightline West, the planned high-speed rail line between Southern California and Las Vegas, is the closest the U.S. has come to a true high-speed rail service like those in Europe and Asia. The project officially broke ground last year. But it still hasn’t had an easy time attracting the billions of dollars in private funding it needs.
