Deadliest fentanyl crisis phase ends

Overdose deaths in 26 states are now at or dramatically below levels recorded in 2020 before the spread of street fentanyl triggered an unprecedented wave of overdose deaths. Every state has seen deaths decline from the worst days of the crisis.
