So they're asking for the public's help.

The person is described as a female between the ages of 30 and 60, probably of mixed race. She’s 5’5” and just under 150 pounds.

She has an old caesarean section mark. She died of hypothermia. She’s presumed homeless.

According to a post on the Seattle King County public health blog, she was admitted to a medical facility on January 10 and was still wearing her admission bracelet when she was found dead on the street. The name on the bracelet was “DOE, JO”.

There are roughly 50 sets of unidentified remains in King County at any given time, according to the post. Sketches of other unidentified individuals can be found here.

Dr. Kathy Taylor is the forensic anthropologist for the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. In a statement she said the office is grateful for the interest and tips they’ve received so far.

“We’re still looking for leads and welcome any help in properly identifying her.”

At least 191 people who were presumed homeless died in King County in 2018.
