Join Front Row Center at 'Approaching Ecstasy'
Join KUOW's Marcie Sillman for the seventh Front Row Center of our 2016-2017 season at Whim W'Him's "Approaching Ecstasy" on Saturday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m.
"Approaching Ecstasy" features choreography from Whim W'Him artistic director Olivier Wevers in collaboration with Eric Banks and The Esoterics. It incorporates 33 singers, five instrumentalists and seven dancers. It is inspired by the poems of Constantine Cavafy, who lived as a closeted gay man in Egypt at the end of the 19th century.
