This holiday season, two of Seattle’s most trusted public media organizations are working together to offer listeners something special: a peaceful alternative during a busy and often overwhelming time of year.

Classical KING’s Classical Christmas stream is available on the KUOW mobile app throughout the month of December, giving KUOW listeners a place to enjoy the warmth and comfort of seasonal classical music alongside trusted local and national news.

This partnership reflects a shared mission across public media to serve communities with trustworthy content, meaningful experiences, and moments of connection. By offering Classical Christmas through the KUOW app, both stations are expanding access to music and culture at a time when many listeners are seeking comfort, tradition, and a sense of togetherness.

“We are delighted to partner with KUOW,” said Michelle Maestas Simonsen, Chief Engagement and Content Officer at Classical KING. “Both of our organizations care deeply about the role public media plays in people’s lives. This seasonal collaboration is a reminder of what becomes possible when we work together. Whether someone wants a break from the news or simply loves holiday music, Classical Christmas is here for them.”

Listeners can access Classical Christmas through the KUOW app throughout the holiday season, as well as through Classical KING’s app, website, and Alexa skills.

Public media thrives on collaboration, and this partnership is a celebration of what makes the Pacific Northwest community unique: generosity, shared purpose, and the belief that music and journalism both enrich daily life.
