Gorton has passed away at the age of 92. Politics today continues apace, with the Democratic National Convention taking place via video conference (like everything else these days). And should you be worried about farming? Yes if by land – maybe not if by sea.

The legacy of Slade Gorton

Slade Gorton was a titan in 20th century Washington state politics. He was attorney general, a state legislator, and a three term United States Senator. He’s died at the age of 92; John Hughes is the author of his biography and the chief historian of the Legacy Washington Project.
