Sexual assault survivors face a ticking clock to seek justice in WA

This week, victim advocates announced their support for eliminating the statute of limitations for felony sexual assault in Washington.

For adult cases, the statute of limitations for felony sexual assault is currently 10 years. But if the crime isn't reported to police within 12 months, the statute of limitations is reduced to three years.
