At the top of the world sits what feels like a whole other realm.

It’s a place built solely of sea ice — of fissures and endless fields of white.

In her new documentary film, "Exposure," director Holly Morris captures the beauty of that world — somewhere very few people get to see — as she follows a team of 11 women from Arab and European countries attempting to reach the North Pole.

Morris spent 20 years living in Seattle. In the 1990s, she was editorial director of the book publishing company Seal Press. She’s also produced and hosted multiple travel series from Seattle.

Now she’s back for a screening of "Exposure" at the SIFF Egyptian Theater this Thursday, Feb. 9.

Morris will be joined by her Executive Producers Sarah Cavanaugh and Kim Cleworth, who are based here in Seattle.

That screening is sponsored by the Seattle Company KPMG and they are extending free tickets to KUOW listeners. You can claim one using access code KPMG at this link.
