If you've heard the show before, you know we often ask for your thoughts about our stories — where they've succeeded and where they can improve. That's because at its core, Soundside is about connecting with our listeners and bringing you stories you care about and journalism that impacts those of us living here in the Pacific Northwest.

And as much as possible, we want to respond and bring your voices into the show.

Here are the stories you had thoughts on this week:

There's a seed shortage in Washington state. What does that mean for our beloved forests?

We recently re-visited a story about Washington's tree seed shortage, with updated information on the Biden Administration's plan to plant 1 billion trees across Western states to restore forests damaged by climate change. You can hear the original story here, or by listening below.

Envisioning a cleaner Duwamish River in South Park

Recently we also headed over to South Park, to the new Duwamish River People's Park.

That's where we met up with Duwamish River Community Coalition Executive Director Paulina Lopez and 17 year old Nico Peters, who are are envisioning what a cleaner Duwamish River could look like for their community.

The promises and pitfalls of ranked choice voting

Finally, last week we talked about ranked choice voting. If you live in Seattle you'll see it on your ballot this November, and it's a little confusing.

So we attempted to alleviate some of that confusion, using everyone's favorite educational tool: doughnuts.
