What a Game 7 it was in Denver.

Kraken Right Wing Oliver Bjorkstrand slung a prayer of a shot and made one of the luckiest deflections you’ll ever see. The momentum from that goal led the Kraken to a 2-1 victory over the defending Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche.

With the win, the Kraken move on to the second round of the NHL Playoffs against another top team — the Dallas Stars.

Gone are the days of a Kraken team that won just 27 games and rounded out the bottom of the league. So what changed?

Soundside spoke with Geoff Baker, who covers the Kraken for The Seattle Times, about his thoughts on the historic playoff win and what's gone right for the Kraken this season.
