When a parent is on COVID-19's front lines

Many of us with older parents have spent the past few weeks pleading with them to stay home. But what if they can't?

KUOW community engagement producer Kristin Leong's mom Kathy Leong is a medical-surgical nurse at a Bellevue hospital, very close to the nursing home at the early epicenter of the US coronavirus outbreak.

Kristin made a radio piece recently called “My 71-year-old mom is a nurse on the front lines of COVID-19. I’m worried. She’s not.” She spoke about the piece with Bill Radke.
