Seattle Now: How to be an active bystander

Videos of people being assaulted and harassed are everywhere on social media and the news.

Also visible in a lot of those videos are bystanders. Some of them are getting involved, while others just stand by.

In the moment it can be hard to know what to do. How or if to get involved.

Abdul Omar is an Assistant Ombud & Mediator who works for the City of Seattle.

He creates bystander trainings for all City of Seattle Employees.
